Our mission is to assist parents in reaching the covenant children of Westminster with the Gospel and in equipping them for growth in grace and service in God’s Kingdom.
The children at Westminster are taught from Great Commission Publication’s “Show Me Jesus” curriculum. Great Commission Publications focuses on consistent, biblical, Reformed teaching. Sunday School is taught from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. each week.
Toddlers: Age 2-3: It’s vital to teach children the Bible at an early age. They will be introduced to the basic concept of what Christ has done for his people in a way that they can grasp.
Age 3-1st Grade: God Leads His People – God’s thrilling rescue of Israel from Egypt and how the Old Testament point to the Savior.
Grade 2: Obeying God – Stories about the prophets and kings.
Grades 3-4: God’s Grace in the Law - Applying the Ten Commandments – a study in Exodus.
Grade 5: G2R - Beginning with a study of Matthew to John, the life, work, and teaching of Christ in the Gospel and ending the year with Westminster Communicant’s class, Understanding the Faith.
Every child from age 2 through 5th grade is given an age-level memory workbook with monthly verses, catechism and bonus verses for the August–May Sunday School year. Quarterly and yearly rewards and recognition are given to every child who participates in any way.
Westminster has 3 choirs for children from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. each week:
Cherub Choir: Age 4-5
Celebration Singers: Grades 1-3
Westminster Singers: Grades 4-6
